Biography

Welcome to Lessie Branch's webpage.  Lessie is a Racial Policy Scholar and a Professor at Monroe College School of Business and Accounting.

She earned a PhD and an MPhil in Public and Urban Policy from Milano The New School for International Afairs, Management and Urban Policy, an MA in Political Science from The New School for Social Research,  a BA in Political Science from Fordham University and a Paralegal Certificate from Adelphi University.

Lessie's research interests focus on race and class disparities in general and the discordance between black racial attitudes and black economic progress, specifically.  She currently publishes articles on discourse, context and post racialism, black optimism, race and class inequality and New York City Politics.  Her articles can be found on RacismReview.com, Blogher.com and The Branch at http://www.lessiebranch.com.

Courses she teaches include Cultural Diversity, Political Science, Human Resource Management.
